Personal Information Privacy Protection Policy At St. Tammany Homestead Savings & Loan Association, protecting the privacy and confidentiality of your personal information is important to our employees and us. We value your business and the trust you put in St. Tammany Homestead. In order to offer you the financial products and services you seek to obtain, we collect, maintain, and use information about you on a routine basis. To help you better understand how your personal information is protected here at St. Tammany Homestead, we are providing you with the following statement describing our practices and policies with respect to the privacy of customer information. At St. Tammany Homestead Savings & Loan Association:

We may, for example, disclose nonpublic personal information about you to others for purposes of servicing your account with us, processing transactions that you request or authorize, or running credit verification checks.
            ***We may collect information volunteered by you during the application process, gathered from your transactions and experiences with us, and obtained from other authorized sources, such as credit bureaus. All information collected and stored by St. Tammany Homestead is used for specific business purposes, such as administering your account, complying with a state/federal banking regulations, protecting against fraud, and developing a better understanding of your financial needs to provide you with improved products and services.
            ***We understand that the protection of your nonpublic personal information is of utmost importance. Guarding your privacy is our obligation. St. Tammany Homestead maintains strict procedures and policies to safeguard your privacy. We restrict employee access to information to only those who have a business reason to know such information, and we educate our employees about the importance of confidentiality and customer privacy.

 CUSTOMER IDENTIFICATION PROGRAM

Federal regulations enacted pursuant to Section 326 of the USA PATRIOT ACT require all financial institutions to verify the identity of every person who seeks to open an account or become a signatory on an account with the institution after October 25, 2002.   All persons are subject to the identity verification requirements even though they may be a long-term customer or and well known to the institution.

For the purpose of the regulation, an "account" includes every formal banking relationship that entrails ongoing services, dealings or transactions.  Some examples are a deposit account, loan, trust relationship or safe deposit box rental.

If you request to open an account or become a signatory on an account with St. Tammany Homestead Savings and Loan Association and the Homestead has not previously verified your identity under the new regulatory requirements, we will request documentary verification of your identity, such as a driver's license or passport and will verify your identity through other non-documentary methods.  Similar identification requirements apply to business entities such as corporations and partnerships.

St. Tammany Homestead Savings and Loan Association is required to retain a copy of any document it relied on to verify your identity.
